Who we are

Second Corner is a programme promoted by EMPATH CIC (company number 15953119), helping 13–16 year olds in London find safe, paid, age-appropriate work. EMPATH CIC is the data controller for the personal data collected through this website.

What data we collect

• Account details — email address and password when you create an account, used to let you log in and manage applications.
• Newsletter sign-ups — your email address, used to send you updates you asked for. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• Consent & media forms — information provided by parents/guardians, including digital signatures, used only for the purpose stated on the form.
• Analytics — with your permission, Google Analytics collects anonymised usage data (pages visited, approximate location, device type) so we can improve the site.

Cookies

We only set non-essential cookies if you accept them via the cookie banner. If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies such as _ga to distinguish visitors. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set. Essential storage used to keep you signed in does not require consent.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or withdraw consent at any time. To do so, or for any privacy question, contact us at ana@empath.org.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Data we never sell

We never sell personal data. Information about young people is handled under our safeguarding policies and shared only where the law requires it or a parent/guardian has agreed.
